The fairways are relatively wide and it is easy to place the ball, but the greens are on the small side with many ups and downs, so the accuracy of approach shots is truly put to the test. The 8th hole, for example, is short at about 140 metres, yet because the green sits high it easily misleads your estimate of power, and not a few players record bogeys or double bogeys. Some bunkers contain not only white sand but hard rock, and in the rainy season some collect water. You may also see wild boar or monkeys crossing the fairway—adding to the nature-rich atmosphere while calling for care with small belongings.
