Sungai Long Golf & Country Club (SLGCC) is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course in Bandar Sungai Long, Kajang, Selangor. It opened in 1992 as the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Malaysia and has been regarded ever since as one of the country’s leading layouts.

It measures about 7,015 yards from the back tees. Designed directly by Jack Nicklaus, one of the world’s foremost course architects, SLGCC delivers an international-standard playing experience that fuses the beauty of the natural landscape with a precise architectural touch. The course is 18 holes, par 72, measuring about 7,015 yards from the back tees, about 6,171 yards from the club tees and about 5,708 yards from the front tees. With more than 800 yards separating the tee sets, the difficulty can be adjusted substantially to suit your game. The Nicklaus signature shows in the strategically placed bunkers, in fairways that are generous yet still demand accuracy, and in fast, contoured greens. Four ponds flank three of the fairways and also affect two of the par 3s. Several holes are known as “Golden Bear holes” — after Nicklaus’s nickname — for their beauty and difficulty. Managing where you land the ball and reading the course matter more than raw distance when it comes to building a score.

Another defining feature is the stylish bunkering and the large sandy waste areas.
