Palm Springs is a beach resort spread along the Nongsa coast in the northeast of Batam Island. Batam is one of the closest golf destinations to Singapore: the crossing from Singapore to Nongsapura ferry terminal takes about 45–50 minutes, and the course is very close from there. A round trip is possible in half a day to a full day, making day-trip golf feasible (note: Batam is one hour behind Singapore). It is also well connected on the island, about 15 minutes from Hang Nadim International Airport and about 30 minutes from Nagoya (city centre).

To get around the island, a rental car, taxi, or ride-hailing services such as Grab and Gojek are convenient. The resort may offer transfers from the Nongsa ferry terminal (please confirm). Don’t forget your passport (and a visa if required), and as ferries are busy at weekends, secure your return crossing early.

Palm Springs is a 27-hole layout designed by American legend Larry Nelson together with IMG (International Management Group). The three nine-hole courses—Palm, Resort and Island—each have their own distinct character, so the combinations always keep play feeling fresh.

Palm Course

The oldest and most challenging area, measuring about 3,269 metres from the black tees. It is characterised by seaside undulations and the surrounding natural woodland. Hole 3 is stroke index 1, the toughest hole in the entire complex, where the pond in front of the tee box and the rolling, narrow fairway test true strategy.

Resort Course

A run of extreme hills rising more than 35 metres above sea level offers attractive views along with the technical challenge of controlling distance and direction under sudden sea breezes. On the undulating fairways, the landing spot and the angle for your next shot are crucial.

Island Course
