Nick Price is a professional golfer and a golf course architect, born on January 28, 1957 at Durban in South Africa and brought up in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, where the family moved while he was still small. He won three majors: the PGA Championship of 1992, and in 1994 both the Open Championship and the PGA Championship. On August 14, 1994 he went to number one in the world ranking, and he held that place for 44 weeks in all. He won 18 times on the PGA Tour. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2003, and in the Presidents Cup he played five times and then captained the International side in 2013, 2015 and 2017.

In design he worked with a range of architects for about ten years before founding his own firm, Nick Price Golf Course Design, in 2001. As of 2024 the courses he has taken on as lead architect number 26. Among the best known are McArthur Golf Club at Hobe Sound in Florida, designed with Tom Fazio, Four Streams in Maryland, designed with Steve Smyers, Punta Blanca in the Dominican Republic and TPC Cancun in Mexico; more recently he has been at work on Soleta Golf Club in Florida. In interviews he has described a way of thinking that keeps to a minimum the places where a player is forced into a long carry, so that anyone who can hit the ball straight can get round.

The profile of Price on the PGA Tour’s site names the countries he has designed in: South Africa, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Zimbabwe, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Portugal. GoGolf does not at present list any course designed by Price.
